Costs We Estimate In Our Feasibility Assessment
Because no two projects are exactly the same, costs will vary for each build for a variety of different reasons. Be sure to plan for these additional unique expenses in your ADU budget.
Plan Development & Submission
Every build requires a full set of plans that must be drawn for each site. Once all the revisions between the architect and the client are complete, the plans are sent to the county to review. Once approved, the permit fees & additional fees by county are due before construction can begin.
Site Preparation
Each site presents its own challenges and obstacles. Trees, existing structures, large rocks, & concrete are some examples of obstructions that are needed to be cleared before foundations can begin. Dirt removal, trenching, and regrading are also necessary for foundation preparation.
Foundations
It is important to take special care in determining & designing the correct type of your foundation specific for your build. Aside from structural requirements, the geology, topography, soil conditions, geographical location, & climate are some of the factors that are considered in selecting the appropriate foundation.
Utility Connections
Every utility connection including electric, water, sewer, and gas (if applicable) to the main home requires its own plan. Every site presents its own hurdles contractors & home owners must factor into the project.
